Mark holds BJuris LLB degrees from the University of Port Elizabeth and Post Graduate Diplomas in Insolvency and Business Rescue from the Universities of Pretoria and South Africa, respectively.
Mark is an admitted attorney and practiced as a director in a prominent law firm in South Africa. In 2011, he joined the management team of an international investment bank, based in Mauritius. Mark joined Sanlam Private Wealth in 2017.
Francois obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of the Free State in South Africa. After completing his degree, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
Francois joined Sanlam in 1981 and is the Financial Director
of Sanlam Private Wealth South Africa.
Gael qualified with the South African Institute of Chartered Secretaries in 2002 and holds a Masters degree in Corporate Governance from the London South Bank University.
Gael was a Company Secretary for FTSE100 companies and headed the Risk and Compliance Division of an international investment bank, based in Mauritius.
Gael is an associate member of the Mauritius Institute of Directors.
Roderick received his BCom (Hons) and Post Graduate Diploma in Tax from the University of Cape Town. He qualified with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants in
1997 and the ACCA in 1998.
After relocating to the United Kingdom in 1998 he was actively involved in start-up businesses before founding Quotient, an accounting services firm, in 2002. Roderick sold Quotient to the Sable group in 2010 and relocated to Mauritius in 2011.
Carl is the CEO of the Sanlam Investment Group. Carl has held various senior roles at Sanlam including CEO of Sanlam Private Wealth, CEO of Sanlam Multi Manager and CEO of Sanlam Investment Retail. Previous roles include those of Managing Director in the Barclays Capital and Absa Capital divisions of Barclays PLC, and Head of Coverage for Absa Wealth and acting CEO for two years.
Carl started his career at Absa Bank in 1995 and was granted a two-year secondment to Absa Bank London. Returning to South Africa in 1999, he held various deal making and senior leadership roles with Citibank, Investec and RMB Private Bank where he gained extensive investment banking and wealth management experience. Carl holds an LLM in International Banking and Financial Law from Boston University (USA).

Anne-Gaelle Charlette completed her B. Bus – Financial Risk Management degree, with high distinction, and a Diploma in Financial Services from Victoria University (Australia) as well as an Advanced Diploma in Financial Services from the Pinnacle Financial Services Academy (Australia).
Before joining Sanlam Private Wealth as Senior Wealth Adviser, Anne held various significant positions in the financial
services industry, including Head of Practice and Financial Adviser at a high-profile financial services company in Melbourne, Australia.
David obtained a Bachelor of Business Science (Finance) from the University of Cape Town and a Higher Diploma in Accounting from the University of the Witwatersrand. After university, David qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA). In 2013 he obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification.
David joined Sanlam Private Wealth in 2016 as Senior Investment Analyst. He has over 13 years’ experience in the investment industry. Before joining Sanlam Private Wealth, David worked as a sell-side analyst in institutional stockbroking, servicing large institutional investors in South Africa, the UK and beyond.
Alwyn obtained his B.Com (Hons) and MBA degrees from the University of Stellenbosch.
Alwyn was appointed as Director of Investments for Sanlam Private Wealth in 2007. He has over 24 years’ investment industry experience and managed institutional and unit trust portfolios successfully for 14 years. Alwyn leads and chairs Sanlam Private Wealth’s formal investment committee.

Ketty Adolphe is Sanlam Private Wealth’s Operations Manager. She obtained her BSc (Hons) Accounting and
Finance from Arden University, United Kingdom.
Before joining Sanlam Private Wealth, Ketty garnered 10 years’ experience in accounting and administration in
leading management companies in the offshore industry in Mauritius.
Amaury Pitot is Sanlam Private Wealth’s Strategic Relations Manager. He completed his B.Econ (Hons) and Master of Commerce in Financial Markets degrees, with distinction, at
Rhodes University.
